The Team
Brought together for a Cause
Founded on the core truth that sacrificial love is the cure, the Love is the Cure Foundation leadership team turns parental devotion and active service into tangible support for children and families facing pediatric brain tumors. Established by Alfonso and Lyndell Vega to honor the quiet, giant strength of their son, Inigo, our core team drives both the daily work of the foundation and awareness campaigns like the upcoming "The Giant Pedal 2027"—a cross-country cycling expedition spanning from the Pacific Northwest to Boston.
Love Is The Cure Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity (EIN: 99-2612740). Your donation is tax-deductible as allowed by IRS regulations.

President & Co-Founder
Alfonso Vega II
As the President and Co-founder of Love Is The Cure Foundation—and most importantly, as Inigo’s dad—I am deeply committed to supporting children and families navigating pediatric brain tumors and Posterior Fossa Syndrome. Our foundation was born directly out of our family's experience and our desire to lift up other parents walking a similar path. As a creative both at heart and in my background, I drive the creative vision of our foundation, weaving that spirit into initiatives like The Giant Pedal while doing whatever it takes to support our mission.
I believe to my very core that love is the cure—and even deeper than that, sacrificial love that places others above ourselves. I feel it is essential to lead by example so that other parents who have walked through loss can see that hope endures, that there is life after, and that our love for our children continues to flourish. My hope is that people will view our work not through the lens of grief, but as a story of unending hope. Love truly is the cure, and that is a story that lives on.

Director & Co-Founder
Lyndell Vega
Hi, I'm Inigo's mom.
As the Director and Co-founder of Love Is The Cure Foundation, I am driven by a deeply personal commitment to supporting children and families facing pediatric brain tumors and dealing with the affects of Posterior Fossa Syndrome. After my 9-year-old son was diagnosed with a Medulloblastoma, my husband, Alfonso, and I established Love Is The Cure Foundation to ensure no family navigates this challenging journey alone.
In my role, I direct family assistance initiatives and community fundraising for pediatric brain tumor rehabilitation, working tirelessly to relieve financial burdens and fund essential research. I firmly believe that through community support and increased awareness, we can bring hope and healing to every child affected.

Director & Community Engagement
Bianca Alba
I am a Director and Community Engagement Lead for the Love Is The Cure Foundation. I hold a degree in elementary education from Andrews University in Michigan and currently work as a pre-kindergarten teacher at Greater Boston Academy. My background also spans experience in government, special education, and residence life. In my free time, I enjoy helping others, taking walks, reading, and watching TV. When I am not working, I love spending quality time with my husband, my family, and our dog, Pebbles.
In February of 2021, I fell and fractured my ankle. Around the same time, Inigo suffered a similar injury. On video calls, we would talk about our injuries, compare notes, and joke together. While we were friends before, it was during this time that I felt we really bonded and got close. I miss Inigo very much and consider his passing to be one of the closest and most heartbreaking losses I have ever experienced. I hope to honor his memory through this work and build towards a future where no child or family has to endure the pain of cancer. Love is the cure, and I hope to spread that love through my efforts here.
